Cancer Prevention Guidelines

Cancer is a usual disease in the world nowadays. It eventually affects all human beings. We can easily get cancer by ourselves or devastated from somebody else. Yet, we can follow these guidelines to decrease the risk of getting cancer.
1. No Smoking
As we all know, the top cause of cancer is smoking. Smoking can easily increase the chances of getting cancer. Therefore, it is recommended not to consume cigarettes. If you do, please stop it now. You may get some advices from the doctor on how to quit smoking effectively.
2. Consume More Fruits and Vegetables
There are many advantages if we consume more fruits and vegetables according to the cancer research. The risk of getting cancer can be reduced drastically if we eat more fruits and vegetables every day. It is proven that the vegetarian has smaller risk of getting cancer.
3. Reduce Meats in Our Meal
According to the cancer research, individuals who consume meats especially the red meats have a higher chance to get cancer. If we cannot be a vegetarian, we have to try to reduce the amount of meats in our daily meal. This can be helpful in avoiding the developing of cancer.
4. Avoid from the Sun’s Peak Period
Generally, exposing ourselves under the sunlight during the sun’s peak hours can easily cause the skin cancer. Thus, try not to expose ourselves under sunlight during that time. If the sun is unavoidable, we can reduce the damage by applying the sun block cream or wear clothes that cover most of our body.
5. Reduce the Alcohol Consumption
Usually, people who drink alcohol heavily have higher chance to get cancer. If possible, try not to consume alcohol even in small amount. If not, at least we should reduce it. Besides getting cancer easily, consuming alcohol can cause a lot of social problems too.
6. Exercise
Doing exercise frequently can help to maintain the health of our body. Light exercises like jogging, swimming, and so on are recommended to be done at least three times per week. Doing exercises can help us to keep the body shape fit too.
7. Reduce the Salt and Sugar Consumption
Furthermore, we should reduce the salt and sugar consumption in our daily meal too. These particles effectively increase the risk of cancer if we consume it in large amount.
8. Regular Body Checkup
It is recommended that we can visit our doctor and carry out some appropriate checking at least once a year. As we all know, early detection is important in cancer treatment. By doing the regular body checkup, we may detect the disease earlier if the cancer starts to develop in our body. The chance of getting recovery will be higher.
Summing up, we have to cultivate ourselves with the eight habits above to avoid from getting cancer. Although none of it is guaranteed work, these habits do seem to reduce the risk of cancer. Prevention is always better than cure. Therefore, start to follow the list above now.
